George Taylor, 48, and Forrest “Randy” MacMillan, 50, both of Eastbrook, and 44-year-old Jeannie Thurlow of Orono were arrested and charged with aggravated trafficking in heroin. The charge is aggravated because of the quantity of heroin.

The arrests are the result of a three-month investigation by agents assigned to MDEA’s Downeast Regional Task Force. In furtherance of this investigation, agents executed two search warrants late Wednesday night at the homes of Forrest MacMillan and George Taylor, both in Eastbrook.

All three of the suspects were present at MacMillan’s residence. From there, agents seized 800 bags of heroin with an estimated retail value of $28,000. Agents also seized over $1,500 in cash, which is alleged to be proceeds from the sale of drugs. No additional drugs were seized from Taylor’s residence.

Bail was set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 surety for all three suspects, who were taken to the Hancock County Jail. They each face from 4 to 40 years in prison if convicted.

In addition to nine MDEA agents, many of whom were called in from other areas, officers from the Hancock County Sheriff’s Department and Maine State Police assisted in the raids.
