Applicants Sought for Scholarships Print E-mail

WINTER HARBOR — The Acadian Community Woman’s Club will award two $750 scholarships to graduating seniors, alumni or adults continuing their education beyond high school.

All students residing in Winter Harbor or Gouldsboro are eligible to apply. The scholarship money will be awarded at the beginning of the student’s second college semester. First consideration will be given to applicants who have not previously been awarded a scholarship from the Acadian Community Woman’s Club.

Students interested in applying should submit all of the following:

  • An introductory letter describing your future plans and why this scholarship would be helpful to you.
  • Official school transcripts.
  • Recommendations from two teachers.
  • A list of any community activities you have participated in that are not listed on your transcript.
  • A signed consent form allowing the Woman’s Club Scholarship Committee to consult the guidance counselor to verify there is financial need and other scholarship aid received.
  • Official college transcript documenting your previous semester GPA.
