Marlene McKenna, from Rhode Island will be speaking about her
experience as 22 year survivor of Stage IV malignant melanoma at our
local macrobiotic potluck. Please come listen to Marlene's amazing
story of how she survived with a
prognosis of less than one year to live. Her cancer survival has been
medically documented and has baffled many physicians. She chose the
course of alternative therapies after three surgeries, "I turned to a
macrobiotic diet and lifestyle and learned that there truly is a
wonderful connection between diet and mind-body and spiritual health."

Directions: Coming across the Casco Bay Bridge go to 2nd stop light which is Ocean Street (Route 77) turn right and go down to the lst Stop Light which is Sawyer Rd. turn right and go west to 3rd St. on your left which is Richards St. turn left and their home is on the right side of the road. If you are in doubt just search Map and address on google and directions will come up including a picture of their street. Google takes you to Clifford St. (1 Block south of Sawyer) versus Sawyer but you get to same place either way. HEALTH REQUEST: Some of our attendees are allergic to certain ingredients, such as soy, gluten (wheat, barley rye grains), perfumes, etc. Please list ALL of the ingredients in the dish you bring.
